(This is a general outline of my production process for any project.)
Phase 1: Our Journey Begins
After an initial getting-to-know-each-other conversation and deciding on your design project, we’ll begin with a simple contract + invoice for a 50% retainer for larger projects. The contract will outline our project details and ensure we are starting off together on the same page.

Phase 2: Discovery
I would like to learn more about your library, your current brand, and your goals
for our project. For smaller projects this usually involves a short email with key questions to help me better understand our visual direction. For larger projects like a Summer Reading Marketing Bundle this may involve a online meeting to talk things through or working through an in-depth questionnaire.

Phase 3: Ideation + Mood Board (for branding related projects)
Next, I’ll begin researching visual ideas. This may involve going through a variety of ideas and visual examples together with a curated mood board that I put together based upon what we learn in Phase 2.

Phase 4: Concept Sketches
Time for me to get to work sketching using your input from the previous phases. These could take the form of a 2-page mock-up spread for Program Guides, logo sketches, or rough layout sketches for postcards. From these sketches you’ll be able to pick your favorite direction and request changes.

Phase 5: Establishing Final Designs
Using your chosen favorite sketch I will create the finished designs and present them to you for a final review & revisions, before we move on to create the rest of your chosen package if this is for a Summer Reading or Battle of the Books Bundle.

Phase 6: Expanding Your Project
For larger projects like Summer Reading, with the main item in hand, such as your the main SRP Banner, I will now create any of the additional elements in your chosen package following the visual direction we've established.
