Helping to visually bring sermons to life.
As the designer for Oakwood my most important responsibility involves creating the custom graphics for the Pastor’s sermons series, which need to, visually, bring a series theme to life. This involves creating art asset bundles which include title slides, sermon presentation backgrounds, supporting social media images, email & website graphics, and Word templates for the Pastor to use.
Not all projects have budgets for custom graphics such as one-day events or small groups. Templates offer a great solution giving a clean professional look at a fraction of the cost. As a designer and artist, I am able to re-make templates and bring them on-brand. For example, below is a default template (left) from Igniter Media for a photo event. On the right is the reworked image incorporating Oakwood's logo, brand colors, and congregation photos resulting in a graphic more uniquely Oakwood.
This is an illustration set I drew for Pastor Don to be used in a sermon series. Oakwood then went on to simplify the illustration into a silhouette which they now use as their current logo.
