GROWING COMMUNITY,
THROUHGH SUMMER READING FUN
This year the Clarkston library decided to use the official CSLP Summer Reading resources including the wonderful art assets illustrated by Mike Mullan. As their designer I was handed the bundle of art assets and tasked with creating cohesive marketing that would excite the thousands of kids and their families whom the library serves.

While anyone can drop art images in a template file, I as designer bring my expertise in knowing what makes an image engaging, how to create custom materials beyond generic templates, and how to work with print vendors. I am able to take an image bundle like with this Summer Reading project and expand upon at by finding new assets, while still maintaining a visually unified body of work resulting in a library's Summer Reading program feeling cohesive and full of life.

It was another rocking Summer at the Clarkston library and the children loved the handmade colorful nature of the art & designs.
