In 2020, like many businesses, the Clarkston Independence District Library (CIDL) went completely online for most of the year.  As part of this transition, they wanted more meaningful social media content in order to better connect with their community.

I worked with CIDL to create image sets for their National Reading Month, African American History Month, Top 10 Books, and Staff Picks campaigns.

Below are seamless carousel posts from the ‘Top 10’ social campaign through which the library shared the top 10 books checked out of each genre.
For African American History Month I wanted to do something more tangible and textural. For the fiction books above here, I wanted a warmer at-home tone. For the biographies below I wanted to emphasize them as literature. So, I set up various flat-lays in my studio and photographed the book scenes giving them the warmer more real-life look I was aiming for.
