Using design to connect the library to the community.
The ‘Explore’ publication is the triannual program guide mailed out by the Clarkston Independence District Library (CIDL) whose purpose is to inform our community of all the wonderful free programs they will be offering that season. This also gives the library a great opportunity to remind the community of all the resources they provide and the value the library brings to our community.
For this Fall guide, I wanted to capture the Fall season, which here in Michigan means an explosion of color all around us. I used fall colors to organize the material so that it is quick and easy for people to read while being visually unified. Combining this with playful imagery and a simple grid layout resulting in, what I hope, is an enticing menu of programs and offerings for all members of our community.
